A man suspected of driving under the influence was shot and killed by an Everett police officer during an altercation Wednesday night outside a restaurant.

The Snohomish County medical examiner has identified the man as Niles Leon Meservey.

More importantly, look at the comments. How can people really think it's okay to shoot someone, after tasing him, for running into a fence. At that point, the officer should have pulled the tased man out of the car. Why shoot at that point?
